I don't know too much about any of the players. I know Kirill Kabanov is highly touted for the 2010 Draft. Maxim Kitsyn should be a Russian to watch for in the 2009 Draft. One omission is Andrei Kuchin who's also highly touted for next year's draft. Rumors are that he's not the best of teammates and can be lazy on the ice. I wouldn't be surprised if he falls in the draft. Most of the players played at the World Under-17 Challenge last year.

Some potential bad news for the Windsor Spitfires, their first selection in the Import Draft, Richard Panik, is staying in the Czech Republic. Here's a shorter translation.

That's My Take

Hi Nathan

If you click their upper right side of that page you can get rosters in english and yes, Panik is listed for this year now.

All that work Windsor did to trade up in the import drafts may result in none of them showing up. Fowler sounds committed to Ann Arbour so that might go south on them too.

It has to hurt a little when you deal away picks to move up in drafts then they don't show up.

Ouch.
