Another Decommit for the Badgers

The Western College Hockey Blog is reporting that Brock Montpetit has decommitting from the University of Wisconsin. He committed back in 2006 and is currently with the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL where he has three goals and six assists.

This is the third player to decommit in the past four months. It started with Patrick Wiercioch who decided to go Denver after David Carle was forced to retire. Then Nick Pryor decommitted early on in the season.

The Badgers have six recruits coming in next season and another six players coming in 2010. Most people think Wisconsin is over recruiting. I do see where they are coming from but you can also say Wisconsin knows how many players are leaving early for the NHL. They just don't want to screw themselves trying find players in the summer for the upcoming season.

Western College Hockey also talks about more Midwest commitments. I didn't touch upon the two Bemidji State commitments. Finally from Chris, gives his take on the Top Ten candidates for Minnesota's Mr. Hockey award.

Michigan signs three National Team Development Program players for next season. Michigan Junior Hockey previews the Marquette Rangers-NTDP games this weekend.

Coming Down the Pipe has another solution for the ADT Challenge. I like their idea about having a World Team vs. Canada. It would be more entertaining especially for the scouts.

Sorry for the delay, a light bulb in one of the elevators in my dorm got caught on fire and we had to evacuate the building. Everybody got out safely and the fire was put out.

That's My Take
