Tinordi to Notre Dame

After Notre Dame lost Cam Fowler, they have picked up Jared Tinordi of the National Team Development Program Under-17 team for the 2010 season.

The 6'2 180lbs defenseman has five goals and 15 assists in 44 games with his first year in Ann Arbor.

Last season he spent the year with the Washington Jr. Nationals of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League where he had four goals and eight assists in 39 games. His father is Mark Tinordi who spent 12 seasons in the NHL. He 52 career goals and 148 assists in 663 games.

Jared was a fourth round pick of the London Knights in the 2008 OHL Draft.

It should be interesting to see if he ends up in London. I am sure the Hunters will make an effort to pick him up along with teammate Adam Clendenning. The Knights will be losing three overage defenseman.

Many London Knights fans believe John Carlson will be either in the AHL or the NHL next season. Because Carlson was drafted out of the USHL, he's eligible to play in the AHL as a 19-year-old.

Are the Fighting Irish playing with fire? Will they get burned again?

That's My Take
