Higgins and Yanakeff no longer apart of the NTDP

I have just received confirmation that Stuart Higgins and Will Yanakeff have been kicked off the team.

"Will Yanakeff and Stuart Higgins are no longer part of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program due to violation of team rules," said David Fischer the Director of Media & Public Relations for USA Hockey in an E-Mail.

According to the USHR article, the two were involved in a drinking party. David didn't mention if Stephen Johns who is suspended for the rest of the season according to the article.

Higgins is a 5'7 forward who is committed to the University of Maine for the 2010-2011 season. He had 9 goals and 12 assists in 49 games with the Under 17 team.

Will Yanakeff is a 6'2 goalie who's committed to Michigan State for 2010. He had a record of 16-5-3 with a 2.28 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.

That's My Take
