If you've noticed the Rangers are starting to promote him by having a blurb about him on the new big video message board.
I don't think they would be doing that without some type of assurances that he's coming.
I am not familiar with all the NCAA rules and regulations (I like to meet someone who does) but my first sense is he has used up at least a part of his eligibility, if not all of it. Heck, Matt Leinart was almost declared ineligible for the Rose Bowl a few years back for doing "This is Sportscenter" three second blurb.
Basically he's being advertised.
In a recent article, Jeff Hicks is reporting that he will make the announcement after the World Under-18's.
Morin has played it smart the whole way through. He never made a commitment and he hasn't made his intentions to go Kitchener public until after the season.
He has been falling on the draft board but I expect him to have a great tournament in front of the scouts. If he does that and heads to the Rangers, his stock will rise a little.
Here's any interesting rumor. Maxwell is attending a high school in the Kitchener area.
This is from an extremely reliable source. Brandon Maxwell is in Kitchener. He is currently taking courses at Eastwood Collegiate, a local high school here in Kitchener. Again I am getting this from a source but i is a very reliable one let me tell you. Could anyone put further truth to this? If it is true could we see him start maybe one of the last games this season.
I don't know about this. He was demoted to the Under-17 team for the rest of the season but I can't see USA Hockey allowing him to change high schools and close to four hours away on top of that.
If he's there, he wouldn't be able to play anyways because he has to sin a player card and I believe USA Hockey has to sign it also. I also believe OHL deadline to sign player cards is at the OHL trade deadline.
If there was no deadline don't you think the Spitfires would try to get Cam Fowler in the line up some how for the playoffs? Instead he's just watching from the owner's box like it's been rumored he did on Sunday.
That's My Take

I can confirm Cam Fowler was at the Spitfires game on Sunday. He was introduced on the video board as the newest Spitfire.
