ICEsteam rollls Fargo

The Indiana Ice built a three-goal lead before five minutes had passed in the first period on the way to a 6-0 win vs. the Fargo Force in Game Three of the Clark Cup Finals.

Shane Berschbach struck first for the Ice converting on the power play at 3:30 of the first period. Just 31 seconds later, Ben Albertson made it 2-0 with his fifth goal of the playoffs. Only 13 seconds later, Max Cook put the Ice up 3-0 and extended his playoff point streak to five games.

Playoff leading scorer Mike Cichy netted a pair of goals in the second period. He finished the game with four points (2g, 2a), his third multi-point game over the last four playoff contests. John Parker completed the scoring with his second goal in as many games. Ten different players registered a point for the Indiana Ice.

Brett Bennett stopped all 20 Fargo shots to earn his first shutout of the playoffs. He has registered a 1.34 GAA and a .947 SV% in the Clark Cup Finals.

The two teams will meet on Friday in Game Four at the Urban Plains Center in Fargo. Indiana is seeking to claim their first Clark Cup championship with a victory while Fargo fights to extend the series to a deciding fifth game.
