Golicic signs in Austria

The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce forward Bostjan Golicic (BOSS-chan GOAL-a-chitch) has signed a pro contract with HDD TILIA Olimpija Ljubljana of the Austrian Elite League.

The deal unites Bostjan with his older brother Jurij.

The now 20 year-old Golicic spent two seasons with the Hitmen from 2007 to 2009.

In his rookie campaign he collected 30 points and was also named Hitmen Scholastic Player of the Year.

In his second season, Golicic blossomed offensively posting career highs in games played (67), goals (26), assists (30), points (56) and plus minus (+32).

He also had 14 points in 18 playoffs games helping the Hitmen advance to the Western Hockey League Championship Series.
