ANN ARBOR, Mich. – USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program today announced the additions of Matt Greason, Andy Rannells and Dr. Laurie Donaldson to its staff.
Matt Greason, who most recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Trinity College’s NCAA Division III men’s ice hockey team, was named an intern coach for the U.S. National Under-17 Team.
Andy Rannells, who spent the last four seasons as an assistant equipment manager for the University of Minnesota Duluth men’s and women’s ice hockey teams, will serve as the assistant equipment manager for USA Hockey’s NTDP. He will work primarily with the U.S. National Under-17 Team.
Dr. Laurie Donaldson will enter her first year at the NTDP as a team physician. Donaldson currently serves as a clinical lecturer in the University of Michigan’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She has previously worked with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League as well as the Bowdoin College women’s ice hockey team.
Additionally, Cole Bassett will return for his second season as an intern coach. Bassett, a former player at USA Hockey’s NTDP (1998-2000), will work with the staff of the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2009-10.
“We’re very excited about the additions, as well as the return of Cole Bassett to our staff for the upcoming season,” said Scott Monaghan, director of operations for the NTDP. “Each of these people will play an important role at the National Team Development Program and we look forward to their contributions.”
