Griem to Vermont

Long Beach, NY- The New York Apple Core Junior Program is proud to announce that defenseman Arthur Griem has committed to play for the University of Vermont (UVM) in the fall.

Griem, a '90 birth year from Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, is one of the league's top defensive defenseman and leads Apple Core with an impressive +22 plus/minus rating. Arthur, who stands in at 6'3" 205lbs, represented Apple Core at the 2010 EJHL All-Star Game where he scored a goal in the contest. In 41 EJHL regular season games this year, he registered 1 goal and 7 assists for 8 points and 88 penalty minutes. Other Apple Core alumni who attended UVM include Tom Collingham, Mike Arcieri and Gerard Miller.

UVM is located in Burlington, VT and competes in the Division 1 Hockey East Conference. Arthur looks to make an immediate impact in Coach Sneddon's Catamount lineup next season.
