Harman Named BCHL Marketer of Year

Jared Harman, Director of Marketing & Media Relations for the Langley Chiefs Hockey Club was named Marketer of the year by the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) for the 2008/2009 season. Harman is being recognized for his tremendous job of promoting the Langley Chiefs within the Langley market in build up to the opening of the Langley Events Centre. The obvious increase in attendance at the George Preston Arena in 2008/2009 and presence in the community showed his effort and dedication to the Chiefs.

The BCHL Marketer of the Year Award is presented to the Marketer of the 17 BCHL Teams that demonstrates a high level of dedication, professionalism, and creativity in the promotion of his or her team within the local market, while helping build the awareness of the BCHL. The award is chosen by the Commissioner of the BCHL, John Grisdale. Grisdale had this to say “Jared is one of those positive, dedicated people, who go above and beyond to succeed. His work in helping make the Langley Chiefs an integral part of the Langley community while helping promote the BCHL throughout the lower mainland deserves special recognition. This is exactly the type of individual who should receive this award.”

Jared is now the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Langley Chiefs and the Langley Events Centre. On behalf of the entire Langley Chiefs organization and the Langley Events Centre, we would like to congratulate him on his accomplishments.
