Screaming Eagles, Durocher extend relationship

SYDNEY, Thursday, May 6, 2010 - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have reached an agreement with Mario Durocher on a new contract as the team’s General Manager and Head Coach through the 2011-2012 season.

Durocher had been in the same position with the team for the past two seasons. Prior to that he was an Assistant Coach with the Screaming Eagles for two years.

The Magog, Quebec native has compliled a 88-39-5-4 record with Cape Breton and is 282-231-26 overall in his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League career.

Durocher guided Victoriaville to a President’s Cup Championship in 2002 and was the Head Coach of Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Helsinki, Finland in 2004.
