THORIMBERT SCHOLARSHIP TO COLORADO COLLEGE

Press Release

The Kindersley Klippers have announced 1992 G Josh Thorimbert (Saskatoon SK) has received a scholarship to Colorado College (NCAA Div I) for this Fall.

Thorimbert played in the SJHL as an underage rookie (still midget eligible) and led the team to the seventh game of the Sherwood Conference finals.

A 17-year-old number one goaltender is rare in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, but Thorimbert embraced the job and had such a solid season he was named the SJHL Rookie Of The Year.

Thorimbert went 26-14-and-4 with a 2.66-GAA and .917-SPCT before going 7-and-4 in the playoffs with a 2.40-GAA and .917-SPCT.

Colorado College is the same school that former Notre Dame Hounds Rylan Schwartz and Kris Fredheim played at last season and another former Hound, Jaden Schwartz, is slated to play there this Fall as well.
