Florida Panthers Announce Rookie Camp Games

The Florida Panthers announced today that they will host two rookie games against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and on Thursday, Sept. 16 at noon at the Saveology.com Iceplex.

"We are very excited to host Nashville in a pair of rookie camp games," said Assistant GM Michael Santos. "These games present an excellent opportunity for both clubs to assess the development of their prospects in a live game situation. In addition, our fans will get the chance to see and interact with the young and talented players that we have in our system."

Florida opens rookie camp with medical and fitness testing on Saturday, Sept. 11. The first on-ice practice of rookie camp will take place on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m. at the Saveology.com Iceplex (a complete rookie camp schedule can be found below).

All practices are free and open to the public and will take place at the Saveolgy.com Iceplex. Rookie game admission is free for children, while adults (18 and over) are encouraged to give a $5 donation that will support the Florida Panthers Foundation.

Panthers prospects expected to attend rookie camp include D Erik Gudbranson (first round-2010), C Quinton Howden (first round-2010), LW John McFarland (second round-2010), D Alexander Petrovic (second round-2010), G Jacob Markstrom (second round-2008), D Colby Robak (second round-2008) and LW Evgeny Dadonov (third round-2007). A complete rookie camp roster will be available closer to the start of camp.
