Disciplinary Prefect suspends three players

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Raymond Bolduc, today announced that Shawinigan Cataractes center Loïk Poudrier has been suspended for a total of two games (an automatic one-game suspension and an additional one game) for a hit from behind. The incident occurred during last Thursday’s game versus the Gatineau Olympiques.

He also suspended Moncton Wildcats left-winger Andrew Roski for five games for an incident which occurred last Thursday versus the MAINEiacs. Also, Lewiston MAINEiacs left-winger Chirstophe Lalonde is suspended for five games (an automatic one-game suspension and an additional four games) for a check from behind which happened in a game versus the Moncton Wildcats last Friday.

The decisions was rendered after reviewing the videotapes of the incidents, gathering the testimonies of the players involved and members of the organizations, reading the officials’ reports and consulting the disciplinary committee.

The Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
