Mustangs Appoint New Coaches

Press Release

The Calgary Mustangs are pleased to announce the appointment of David Haas as their Head Coach.

David has had an extensive playing career that spans seventeen years in the Pro and Semi Pro-Leagues and is a coach that we feel can relate directly to the players.

He played his Junior Hockey in Ontario before being drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round. David will bring a wealth of experience to the Mustangs, and has already demonstrated his ability to communicate with Junior Hockey Players.

Joining David is returning defensive Coach Joe Mabee. Joe is very well known on the local scene for his many contributions at the Bantam AA and Midget AA levels. The Mustangs are very pleased that Joe will remain with our organization, and the players will only benefit.

The General Manager duties will be taken over by Ed Williamson and Ken Morris for the interim. All Hockey operations will remain under the control of Jeff Richards.
