Petes Trade Veteran Forward

Peterborough Petes General Manager David Reid announced today that the team has traded veteran forward David Quesnele to his hometown Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for a 5th round draft pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection as well as a conditional 7th round draft pick in 2013.

Quesnele, a 5’10”, 196lbs left winger is entering his third year in the Ontario Hockey League. The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was a 2nd round draft pick of the Petes in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection. Last season David recorded career highs with 9 goals, 19 points and 62 penalty minutes. In 133 OHL games Quesnele has recorded 13 goals, 37 points and 96 penalty minutes.

“David has exemplified what it means to be a Peterborough Pete during his time in Peterborough over the past two seasons” says General Manager David Reid. “We wish David the best of luck as he begins a new chapter in his career in Sault Ste. Marie.”
