The Halifax Mooseheads are again taking their efforts to ice level to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic. The Club announced today that they will be painting the ice PINK for their Pink in the Rink III event on Friday, October 22nd when they host the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at 7pm at the Halifax Metro Centre. The Steele Auto Group will again be the presenting sponsor for the event.
“Pink in the Rink with the Mooseheads is an event our players, fans, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic, and our entire organization looks forward to each season ”, stated Brian Urquhart, Halifax Mooseheads Vice President Business Operations. “This year we hope to top the $40,000 mark for funds raised for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic in 3 years through this event.
The Mooseheads will again be wearing pink-accented Mooseheads jerseys, designed by the QMJHL as part of the league wide fight against Breast Cancer. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event on all the game-worn jerseys and given away on-ice at the conclusion of the game. Special Pink in the Rink III Mooseheads t-shirts and pucks will also be for sale at Antlers Merchandise Store. Pink Packs of 25 tickets are being sold for $250 to corporations and groups interested in taking in the event and supporting the cause. The proceeds from the jersey raffle tickets, t-shirts, pucks and Pink Packs will all go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic. Fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support for the cause.
