13 CHL Officials Assigned to IIHF Events for 2010-11 Season

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League in association with Hockey Canada today announced that 11 Canadian officials have been assigned by the
International Ice Hockey Federation to work at six different IIHF events during the 2010-11 season. All 11 officials are products of the Hockey Canada Officiating Program.

In addition to the 11 Canadian officials above, two American-born officials from the CHL will also participate in IIHF events this season. The WHL’s Shane Warschaw will officiate at the World U18 Championship, while the OHL’s Keith Kaval will officiate at the World Junior Championship.

The Hockey Canada Officiating Program (HCOP) is for anyone interested in officiating the game of hockey, from beginners to seasoned veterans. There are six levels in the HCOP, from those looking to get started to the top tier of officials.
