The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that 20-year-old defenceman, Donnie Harris (Fort Ashby, WVA) has verbally committed to attend the University of Alaska-Anchorage beginning the fall of 2011.
Harris, a 6'2" 205 pound right shot, joined the Pontiacs last season appearing in 58 games while collecting 17 points (1G-16A) and 83 penalty minutes. Back for his final season, Harris has been a key contributor in the Pontiacs early season success totaling 6 points (2G - 4A) in the first 17 games. Harris' size, skating ability and hockey sense make him valuable in all situations.
The University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves play Division I in the NCAA's Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Pontiacs would like to congratulate Donnie and his family, and wish him much success at University of Alaska-Anchorage.
