Congratulations to forward Chris Lochner of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, named CCM Offensive Player of the Week; defenseman Alexx Privitera of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, selected as CCM Defensive Player of the Week; and C.J. Lochner scored four goals over two games as the Lumberjacks posted consecutive victories for the first time this season. With the game tied on Friday against Team USA, the 20-year-old scored the game-winner and added an insurance goal in the 5-3 win. The native of Alpharetta, Georgia then netted two more goals in Saturday's 7-4 win over Team USA. Lochner is playing in his first USHL season and ranks second on the Lumberjacks with five goals. He has registered an even-or-better plus/minus rating in eight of his nine games and has fired three-or-more shots on goal in each of his last four games.
Privitera collected three points (1g, 2a) and posted a plus-five rating in Muskegon's two wins. He assisted on the game-tying and game-winning goals in Friday's 5-3 win over Team USA while also registering a game high plus-three rating. The 17-year-old then scored a goal against his former teammates in Saturday's 7-4 victory against Team USA's Under-18 squad. Privitera is a native of Old Tappan, New Jersey and leads all USHL defensemen in scoring with 11 points (3g, 8a). He has also posted a plus-six rating through 10 games this season. It is the second USHL season for the defenseman after he tallied six points (3g, 3a) in 34 games for Team USA in 2009-10.
Motte allowed just one goal total in two victories for the Black Hawks over the weekend. He made 27 saves in the 4-1 victory against Youngstown on Friday. The 19-year-old then turned aside all 27 shots he faced in the 4-0 win over Chicago on Saturday to record his first shutout of the season and third in his USHL career. Motte has won each of his last three starts and now leads all USHL goaltenders with a 1.47 goals-against-average and is tops with a .952 save percentage. The native of St. Clair, Michigan has a 4-1-1 record during his second USHL season. He collected 21 victories for the Black Hawks in 2009-10.
