Van Brabant Commits to Quinnipiac

Press Release

The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce that Captain Bryce VanBrabant has committed to Quinnipiac University where he will skate with the Bobcats.

Bryce (Morinville, AB) has been with the Saints since the 2008-2009 season, compiling 36 points and 299 penalty minutes to date. Bryce was named Captain of the Saints at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season and is a respected leader on and off the ice. Bryce is the third member of the Saints current roster to have committed to an NCAA institution.

Bryce would like to thank his Mother and Father for all of the commitment and support growing up and all of his coaches that have helped him along the way.

"Bryce is the Captain of our hockey club this year, it is his third year with the Saints. He has been part of a team that has gone to the finals twice and was fortunate enough to win last year," said Saints Head Coach and General Manager Jason McKee. "Bryce is a fabric guy around here; he knows what it takes to win, to have high expectations, and to play under pressure. Bryce's leadership skills at 19 years old are exceptional; Quinnipiac got an exceptional hockey player and an even better person."
