Vernon's Zalewski commits to RPI

The British Columbia Hockey League's Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that forward Michael Zalewski has committed to attend the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the 2012/13 hockey season and suit up for the NCAA Division I Engineers.

Zalewski, a 1992-born left winger, has had a strong start to his junior career in Vernon. The New York native has compiled six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 22 games played, good for fifth in team scoring. He has had a pair of multi-point games and is currently riding a five-game point streak.

The 18-year old will join recent former Viper alumni Brad Farynuk, Andrew Lord, Kurtis Colling and Reed Kipp who attended and played for R.P.I., which is located in Troy, New York and competes in the ECAC conference. The Engineers
