BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, December 3rd, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today unveiled the TELUS three stars of the month for November.
The first star is awarded to a Lewiston MAINEiacs player. This time around, the honour goes to left winger Étienne Brodeur after he registered nine goals and nine assists for a total of eighteen points in eleven games. The MAINEiacs also won ten games and lost only one game for November. Brodeur also scored 3 times the victory goal this month. And if like that’s not enough, Brodeur really cares about school and was named Scholastic Player of the month for October 2010.
The second star goes to Montreal Juniors defenseman Francis Meilleur. He was an offensive force in November, registering two goals and eight assists in eleven. Moreover, he posted a steady 0 rating and collected at least one point in nine games. The Montreal Juniors won ten of their eleven games scheduled for November. The team is actually ranked second overall in the Q.
The third star is none other than foward Alex Belzile. In ten games, the Rimouski Oceanic right winger registered five goals and thirteen assists, for a total of eighteen points. He also had a six-game sequence with at least one point. He also was named TELUS first star of the week for the period between November 15th and November 22nd.
