BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, December 9, 2010 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today revealed its latest attendance report and the statistics show that eight teams are benefiting from rises in attendance after the first 260 games of the regular season.
The most significant rises in attendance were noticed in Saint John (+801), Val-d’Or (+438), Acadie-Bathurst (+330) and Halifax (+224). Other teams with hikes include Victoriaville, Lewiston, Moncton and Chicoutimi.
Of note, seven teams are averaging more than three thousand fans per game. Overall, the League has noticed a slight attendance drop (-0.7% or 24 fans per game) compared to last season.
