Press Release

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of their 2010 2nd round WHL Bantam Draft pick, Cole Ully.

Ully, who reigns from Calgary, was selected by the Blazers 30th overall in the draft. The high scoring forward is leading the Midget AAA Calgary Flames in scoring with 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in 20 games this season.

“We are very happy that Cole and his family have committed to the Kamloops Blazers and to play in the WHL,” General Manager Craig Bonner said. “Cole is a very talented and hard-working player. He will be a terrific fit for our team in the future. We now have signed our top four picks from the 2010 Bantam Draft.”

Last season, he had 34 goals, 30 assists and 64 points in only 32 games with the Bantam AAA Calgary Bronks. The 5’10” forward was also recently selected to play for Team Alberta at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax from February 11-27, 2011.

Ully joins Matthew Needham, Tyson Harvey and Joshua Connolly, the Blazers 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks, among players signed by the hockey club from the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
