Caps blueliner Halloran accepts Air Force scholarship

Press Release

The Cowichan Valley Capitals are pleased to announce that defenceman Alex Halloran has committed to play NCAA Division I collegiate hockey at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for the 2011-12 season.

A smooth skating Salt Lake City, Utah native, Halloran is having an all-star campaign scoring eight goals and adding 21 assists in 38 games this season.

“Alex is just playing tremendous hockey for us right now and this scholarship is well deserved," said Capitals general manager Robert Davison. "Alex will be joining a very respected hockey program that boasts a tremendously committed coaching staff lead by 16-year collegiate head coach Frank Serratore.

"Air Force Academy also has a great academic program which is recognized as one of the best in the United States. The entire organization is very happy for Alex and his family.”
