67’s’ Cody Lindsay Named CHL Player of the Week

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Cody Lindsay of the Ottawa 67’s is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 30 after scoring six goals in two games with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.

Lindsay produced two hat-trick performances and led the 67’s to two straight wins including a 7-4 victory over the Barrie Colts last Friday night where he was named second star of the game. On Saturday night his three goals provided enough offense to sneak past the Kingston Frontenacs 3-2. Lindsay’s 25th goal of the season held as the game-winner earning him first star honours and helping the 67’s maintain their hold of top spot in the OHL’s East Division with 64 points.

Lindsay, a 20-year-old from London, ON, is playing in his fifth OHL season with the 67’s and has played in 314 career games with the club. In 48 games this season the overage forward has 46 points.

Cody Chikie of the Kelowna Rockets was also considered for the award after scoring once and adding six assists for seven points in two games, while Dave Labrecque of the Shawinigan Cataractes scored two goals and six assists for eight points in three games.
