MJHL launches new mobile web service

ans of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League are now able to access scores and updates even quicker. MJHL Mobile is a new service now available to fans, sponsors, stake holders, media and fans.

MJHL Mobile is a scaled down version of the full MJHL website site that provides access to game scores, standings and league leaders pages. Fans visiting the MJHL website will see an easy to access button.

“It’s a fast and efficient method of getting current and up to date information about what is happening around the league,” said MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis.

“It’s called MJHL Mobile because it is built for smartphone users who typically want current information about the League while they are on the go,” said Davis.

MJHL Mobile will allow MJHL fans to access key game scores and results nightly from their mobile device giving them more flexibility. MJHL Mobile extends the functionality of the League website into the hands and palms of hundreds and thousands of fans and users who don't have to be at their computer now to get up to date results.

MJHL Mobile was developed and designed by Recreation Sports Management Inc, the makers of esportsdesk, which is the Stats service currently used by the MJHL.

"I am extremely excited about launching this new mobile service for the benefit of our fans,” said Davis. “It’s particularly useful for those who use the BlackBerry device and other smart phones.

“We’ve discovered that fans who use these mobile devices want access to important MJHL game information quickly and when they desire it. This new mobile application, MJHL Mobile will fill the need that these intense fans desire.”

In order to provide the fastest, most up-to-date scores and information to its fans, the MJHL continues to explore other exciting applications which will be soon be made available.
