TARAN KOZUN BROUGHT IN FOR GOALTENDING DUTIES

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers announced today that 16-year-old goaltender Taran Kozun will join the hockey club for three games this week.

The 6’0” 165lb goaltender was listed by the Blazers in February 2010 and is playing this season with the Midget AAA Prince Albert Mintos of the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League.

Kozun has a 15-3-2 record along with one shutout for the first place Mintos. The native of Nipawin, SK has a goals against average of 2.16 and a save percentage of .919 in 20 games this season. He will be replacing goaltender Cam Lanigan who suffered a concussion in practice yesterday.

Kozun will be in the line-up tomorrow night as he will serve as the back up when the Kamloops Blazers host the Everett Silvertips tomorrow night, 7pm at the Interior Savings Centre.
