The Spruce Grove Saints and Fort McMurray Oil Barons will battle for the title of North Division Champion in Round Three of the 2011 AJHL Enerflex Cup Playoffs. The best-of-seven series will begin on Saturday, March 19th in Spruce Grove, AB.
The Spruce Grove Saints earned a bye in the opening round of the 2011 AJHL Playoffs by capturing their third consecutive Regular Season Title. The Saints defeated the Lloydminster Bobcats 4-0 in Round Two to advance to the Division Final. The Oil Barons eliminated the Bonnyville Pontiacs on Monday night with a 4-2 series win in the North Division Semi-Final. Fort McMurray swept the St. Albert Steel in Round One of the 2011 AJHL Playoffs.
The Saints completed the Regular Season with a record of 50-6-4 and 104 points, the third consecutive 100-point season for the Saints. Fort McMurray finished 3nd overall in the League Standings, 2nd in the North Division, with 87 points (43-16-1). In six regular season meetings, the Saints were 5-1versus Fort McMurray and outscored the Oil Barons 25-10.
The Oil Barons have scored the most goals of all teams in the 2011 AJHL Playoffs with 43 goals (4.78 avg per game). The Saints have allowed the fewest goals overall in the post-season with 5 goals against (1.25 avg per game).

The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will compete in the League Final (Round Four) for the 2011 AJHL Enerflex Cup. The Camrose Kodiaks and Brooks Bandits will battle in Game Seven of the South Division Semi-Final tonight in Brooks. The winner of the series will meet the Okotoks Oilers in the South Division Final.
