PLAYER OF THE MONTH – Travis Eggum (La Ronge)
The 20 year old Saskatoon product finished off one of the better seasons offensively in the SJHL in almost a decade in style. Eggum scored 11 goals to give him 58 on the season and 8 assists in 10 games to lead the league in scoring and help the Ice Wolves to the best record in the SJHL.
HONORABLE MENTION: Marc-Andre Carre (La Ronge), Andrew Johnston (Flin Flon)
DEFENCEMAN OF THE MONTH – Kurt Leedahl (Kindersley)
The 1990 born blueliner from Saskatoon helped the Klippers try to chase down the Yorkton Terriers for first place in the final month of the season. While the Klippers were unable to do so, Leedahl played perhaps his best hockey of the season. If Leedahl can continue playing at the level he did in February during the playoffs, he will make life miserable for many forwards across the league.
HONORABLE MENTION: Logan Sproule (Humboldt), James Howden ( Notre Dame)
GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH – Andrew Bodnarchuk (Humboldt)
Bodnarchuk saved the best for last. The 20 year old Saskatoon native was a perfect 6-0 in February as the Broncos finished 3rd in the Bauer. Bodnarchuk had a goals against average of 1.64 and a save percentage of .949. If he continues this type of play in the performance, the Broncos will be tough to beat in the playoffs.
HONORABLE MENTION: Russell Abbott (Notre Dame), Jesse Ehnisz (Melfort)
ROOKIE OF THE MONTH – Kyle Hall (Battlefords)
The 18 year old from Assiniboia has been one of the SJHL’s top rookies all season long. He helped the Stars hold off Flin Flon to finish 4th in the Bauer by compiling 11 points in February on three goals and eight assists. Hall is seen as one of the players that will be a marquee name in the SJHL in years to come if he remains in junior “A” hockey.
HONORABLE MENTION: Keegan Bruce (Weyburn), Rhyse Dieno (La Ronge)
