he Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League are proud to announce that forwards Anthony Luciani and Greg McKegg have each signed entry-level contracts to National Hockey League teams.
Luciani signed with the Florida Panthers after an impressive three-year career in Erie. The shifty right winger collected 160 points in 181 games with Otters, including a career-high 78 points in 54 games during the 2010-11 season. Luciani, a native of Maple, Ont., was an invite to Chicago Blackhawks rookie camp prior to the season.
McKegg signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs after finishing the 2010-11 season with a team-leading 49 goals, second on the Otters single-season scoring list. The first-year team captain also dished out 43 assists for a team-high 92 points. He was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
