Oilers sign Pitlick

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have signed centre Tyler Pitlick to a three-year entry level contract.

Pitlick, 19, just finished his first year with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League, where he recorded 62 points (27G, 35A) in 56 games.

The 6’2”, 194-pound Minneapolis, MN native was originally drafted by the Oilers in the second round, 31st overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the previous season playing for Mankato at Minnesota State collecting 19 points (11G, 8A) in 38 games.
