BRUINS HIRE ASSISTANT COACH

The Estevan Bruins Jr. A Hockey Club are proud to announce that they have added Cole Zahn, to the Bruins coaching staff as the Assistant Coach to the Bruins newly acquired Head Coach/GM Keith Cassidy.

Cole, originally from Bethune, played his junior Career as a rock solid d-man for

the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League from 2004-2007 before joining Cassidy on the coaching staff in Selkirk. The two were behind the bench together when the Steelers made an appearance at the 2007 Royal Bank Cup.

Zahn has also been working as a regional scout for the WHL’s Vancouver Giants and will continue in that capacity.

"I am ecstatic that Cole has decided to become a member of the Bruins staff, “Cassidy said. “As a coach and as a friend, I’ve always wanted to find an opportunity where he and I could work together again in a coaching capacity. Cole will be a huge asset to the Bruins organization both on ice with the players, and as an ambassador in the community. Cole is a quality individual, with great character and phenomenal work ethic. I am thrilled that he has agreed to work with the Bruins – and I am very much looking forward to Cole becoming a part of the Bruins family, and the community of Estevan."
