ICE WOLVES HIRE ASSISTANT COACH

Press Release

The two time defending Credit Union Cup champion La Ronge Ice Wolves have announced Ron Holloway will serve as an assistant coach to Bob Beatty in the 2011-12 season.

Holloway, a former trainer with the club, is no stranger to the recent success of the hockey club having spent time this year with the club both late in the playoffs and during the ANAVET Cup.

He comes to the team after being the Head Coach of the Ochapowace Thunder of the Prairie Junior Hockey League. Despite a regular season that saw the team finish under 500, they upset the first place Regina Capitals and made it to the South Division final before falling to the eventual league champions from Pilot Butte.

The Wolves were looking for an assistant after Gavin Holcomb moved on to become the head coach of the Melfort Mustangs.
