Pierre Roux named General Manager

Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have named Pierre Roux as the team’s new General Manager. Roux, 52, from Victoriaville, Quebec had been acting as the Screaming Eagles interim General Manager following the departure of Mario Durocher in early April. He spent the past three seasons within the Screaming Eagles organization as a scout and the past two years as the Assistant General Manager. Roux has previous experience as a General Manager in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Victoriaville from 1995-1999 and Acadie-Bathurst from 2000-2004. His teams have won two division titles and Acadie-Bathurst won the overall regular season title in 2001-2002. Two of his teams have also appeared in league final. At the league administrative level, Roux also has worked for with the QMJHL’s hockey committee for three years and one year as the Governor for Acadie-Bathurst.
