Please excuse me while I vent here, but IMHO Bartschi was robbed of the rookie of the year award. No offense to Dumba, but Bartschi's stats speak for themselves. Not only did he lead all WHL & QMHL rookies (as well as most veteran players) in Goals, Asists & total points. He was quite a force on the denfensive side also. No other rookie in the entire CHL came close, with the exception of Nail Yakupov from the OHL (the Sting) who out did Bartschi.

Seems Svens down fall was being a NON-canadian (Swiss player). Wonder how this will play out for Nail since he's a Russian (he should take the CHL honors). I guess we'll have to wait and see.

To sad. What's wrong with giving credit where credit is due?

Politics in sports SUCKS!
