Clippers Add New Forward

Press Release

The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that 18 year old forward, Ryan Hunter, has recently committed to play for the team this upcoming season. Ryan is a 6'3" 195lb forward from Mississauga, Ontario. He joins the Clippers after playing last season for the Toronto Junior Canadians Midget AAA of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. Ryan was an Assistant Captain with the Junior Canadians last season and he had 24 points in 29 games. He also spent time as an affiliate player with the Upper Canada Patriots of the OJHL.

Coach Vandekamp: "We are very excited to be adding Ryan Hunter to our hockey club for the upcoming season. Ryan is a strong skater, who will add size and all around play to our forward group. He is a skilled player who plays a power forward game. He competes hard at both ends of the rink, finishes his check, and is generally hard to play against. Most importantly, Ryan is a quality person and a natural leader by example. He was an Assistant Captain in a very solid Midget AAA Program last season and obtained exceptional grades in school at the same time. We are very pleased to welcome Ryan and his Family to Clippers Family."
