FRAM, NARDI & SIEMER JOIN EXPRESS

Press Release

Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Jon Calvano is 3 steps closer to putting together his team for the upcoming season.

Under new regulations in the BCHL each team must have one 16-year-old on their active roster so Calvano watched closely at this years prospect camp in April and invitation camp in May.

Jason Fram of Tsawwassen attended both camps and quickly caught the attention of Express coaches. The 6-foot, 175-pound defenceman recorded 3 goals and 22 points last season with the Vancouver Canadians of the BC Major AAA team. Coach Calvano is"excited to have Jason join our program and extremely happy to have him around for the next few years to develop and reach his NCAA goals".

Aquired from the Burlington Cougars of the OJHL is forward Mitch Nardi. The 18-year-old Hamilton native tallied 16 goals and 23 assists in 44 games last year with the Cougars and is expected to be a top line point producing player for the Express.

Rounding out the newest recruits is 19-year-old John Siemer from Baldwin, California. The forward spent last season between the Waterloo Black Hawks (USHL) and the Fresno Monsters (NAHL) where he notched 18 goals and 19 assists in 61 games played.

With only the top 4 teams in each division making the playoffs this coming season the Express coaching staff have been hard at work to put together a competitive team. It will be difficult for many teams under the new regulations and Calvano is deteremined to have a hard working team that will compete and provide excitement for our fans.
