PAMHA Tier 1 Teams to be Renamed “Raiders”

Press Release

The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce today that they have entered into a long-term agreement with the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association that will see the three Minor Hockey Tier 1 Teams renamed “Raiders.”

The Pee-Wee, Bantam and Midget Tier 1 Teams will each retain their corporate sponsorship titles from NAPA, Venice House and Liteway Electric respectively, but will now be called “Raiders.” Beginning in the 2011-12 season, the teams will now have the following titles:

1. Pee-Wee NAPA Raiders (Formerly “NAPA Ice”)

2. Bantam Venice House Raiders (Formerly “Venice House Pirates”)

3. Midget Liteway Electric Raiders (Formerly “Midget Liteway Electric Thunder”)

It is a five-year agreement between the two organizations and along the title, each of the three teams will also wear Raider jerseys and socks.

“We are extremely pleased with the new agreement with the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association,” said Raiders Head Coach and General Manager Bruno Campese. “It is something we have wanted to do for some time now and I am very happy we were able to enter into this partnership. As a community owned team, it is imperative we maintain an active and visible role in Prince Albert and this is another opportunity to stay involved in and support the community that has supported us for so many years.”
