Press Release

The Cowichan Valley Capitals of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) are excited to announce the acquisition of Travis St. Denis from the Trail Smoke Eaters for forwards Chase Kaiser, Clayton Chessa and defenseman Nicholas Wong.
Travis comes to the Caps after the 5-foot-7, 166-pound forward collected 27 goals and 54 points in only 42 games with the Smokies. In 149 BCHL games, the 19 year old forward has amassed 62 goals and 137 points and has committed to the NCAA Div.1 Quinnipiac Bobcats for the 2011-12 season.

"We are very excited to have a player of this caliber join our Club," said General Manager Jim Ingram. "I have had the pleasure of coaching Travis for the last 3 seasons and he is an elite player in this league.”

Ingram added, “Travis brings the complete offensive package; tremendous skating ability, an excellent shot, crafty playmaking and puck handling skills. A fierce competitor and a team leader that will be counted on to play in every situation.”
The Capitals organization would like to thank Chase, Nick and Clayton for their contributions to the Club and wish them all the best in Trail.
