Bruins Introduce Newly Signed Players

The Estevan Bruins have signed 10 recruits for this upcoming season.

Tanner Froese (93) Forward Estevan, SK
- Played two seasons of AAA in Swift Current. Was a captain this past season. Along with size and and a great shot, he brings strong character and leadership qualities.

Ben Johnstone (93) Forward Carlyle, SK
- Played with the Yorkton Harvest last season. Finished in the top 20 of Sask AAA scoring. Will bring strong character, work ethic, and enthusiasm to the Bruins.

Taylor Reich (93) Forward Estevan, SK
- Played two seasons with the Saskatoon Contacts, and was an alternate captain this past season. Will bring the Bruins speed, aggressiveness and solid character.

Matt Brykaliuk (93) Forward Brandon, MB
- Finished in the top 10 in scoring this past season for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Manitoba AAA midget league. Will bring skill, determination and solid leadership skills.

Jesse Bernard (93) Forward Killarney, MB
- Led the Manitoba AAA midget league in scoring this past season with the Southwest Cougars. Will bring exceptional puck distribution skills along with a natural goal scoring ability and enthusiasm to the Bruins.

Austin Yano (93) Defence White City, SK
- Was an alternate captain with the Moose Jaw AAA Generals this past season. Will bring speed, agility and a big shot along with his ability to play both forward and defence.

Tyler Kauk (93) Defence Winnipeg, MB
- Played this past season with the Telus Cup Champion Winnipeg Thrashers. Will bring championship experience along with solid defence and an ability to play in all situations.

Denin Boesch (93) Defence White City, SK
- Was an alternate captain with the Yorkton Harvest this past season. Will bring character and maturity to help solidify the blueline.

Tyler Bell (94) Defence Regina, SK
- The only 94 signed so far. Tyler is a big d-man who has suited up for the Regina Pat Canadians the past two seasons. Will be attending the Kamloops Blazers camp this fall.

Steven Glass (93) Goal Saskatoon, SK
- Played two seasons of midget AAA with Prince Albert and Beardy’s. Will bring a natural puck stopping ability along with a solid work ethic and enthusiasm to the Bruins.


This is a good group of prospects that all bring with them a much sought after trait – they are strong character people. Having these young skaters suit up with an exceptional returning group will provide the Bruin fans an exciting, dynamic and hard working young team to watch game in and game out.
