Carleton Place Canadians Bolster Line-Up

Jason Clarke announced today the signing of forward Luke Kasteel of North Vancouver and also the acquisition of Michael Maciag, a defenceman from Detroit, MI. Kasteel, last year, played for the Dryden Ice Dogs of the Superior International Junior League, recording 3 goals and 7 assists with 13 PIMS in 26 games. Described as a solid, 2-way player, Kasteel is listed at 6' 3" and 195 lbs.

Maciag was acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres on July 15th. He's a big, right-handed defenceman who will add some additional size to the blue line. Listed at 6'2", 195 lbs, he had 2 goals and 10 points in 37 games with Buffalo last year to go along with 59 PIMS.
