FOGARTY JOINS VEES OFFENSIVE ARSENAL

Press Release

PENTICTON, BC – For the second time in less than a week the Vees are thrilled to announce the addition of a recently drafted NHL prospect, this time forward Steven Fogarty of Edina High School in Minnesota.

Fogarty was ranked 90th among North American skaters by Central Scouting, but was obviously highly coveted as he was picked with the Rangers 3rd round selection (72nd overall) after the blue shirts traded Evgeny Grachev to the St. Louis Blues for the selection.

Fogarty was an explosive force at centre for the Edina Hornets last season potting 23 goals and adding 17 assists in just 24 games. Standing at 6’2 and 194 pounds, Fogarty was a finalist for the Mr. Hockey Award as the state’s top high school player of the season, and looks to be another dynamic player added by Vees Head Coach and GM Fred Harbinson

"Steven is a two way player that brings more size and scoring ability to our lineup." Said Harbinson. "Our organization has been fortunate to have had 3 of the top 100 players from this past NHL Draft commit to play for us this upcoming season"

The Vees would like to welcome Steven Fogarty to the City of Penticton and the Vees organization.
