SINZ ADDED TO STORM BLUE LINE

Press Release

KEARNEY, Neb. – Former Shattuck-St. Mary’s defenseman Bryan Sinz has been added to the 2011-2012 Tri-City Storm roster.

General Manager and Head Coach Drew Schoneck made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

“We are excited to get Bryan from one of the premier prep-school programs in North America,” said Schoneck. “We believe he’ll be a regular contributor to our blue line and look forward to having him on the team this season.”

Sinz, 18, played for Shattuck-St. Mary’s Prep team last season and posted 30 points (9 goals, 21 assists) in 50 games. In two seasons with the prep team, the 6-foot and 205 pound defenseman posted 49 points (11 goals, 38 assists) and 117 penalty minutes in 100 games.

“I really like the coaching staff and the way they operated while recruiting me,” said Sinz, a native of Anchorage, Alaska. “I wanted to play for a good coaching staff that had good character, and I feel like I chose that in Tri-City.”

Sinz played with Storm forward Brad Schierhorn most of the way through his youth hockey in Alaska before moving onto Shattuck St. Mary’s in junior high school. He played six seasons at the academy in Faribault, Minn., graduating from high school following last season.

Season tickets for the 2011-12 season are on sale now. Call the Storm hockey office today at 308.338.8011 for more information or visit www.stormhockey.com.
