WARRIORS' BEACH SIGNS WITH NHL'S BLUES

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has signed Moose Jaw Warriors forward Cody Beach to an entry level contract.

Beach, 18, spent the majority of the 2010-11 season with the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Moose Jaw Warriors recording 34 points (six goals, 28 assists) and 163 penalty minutes in 40 games. Overall, the 6’5, 185-pound forward has spent the past three seasons in the WHL between Moose Jaw and the Calgary Hitmen totaling 63 points (14 goals, 49 assists) and 395 penalty minutes in 111 games.

The Nanaimo, British Columbia native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 134th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
