First Round Pick Scott Teskey Signs with the Majors

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors General Manager and Head Coach James Boyd announced this afternoon that the club has signed first round draft pick, Scott Teskey.

Teskey, 16, is a 6'0", 180 pound right winger. He competed at last year’s OHL Cup, serving as an assistant captain on the Jr. Canadien’s. In four round robin games he had three goals and two assists for five points to go along with four penalty minutes. He had one point in two games in the playoff round. During the regular season, he suited up in 72 games for the Jr. Canadien’s. He was better than a point a game player and proved to be a formidable goal scorer with 57 goals to go along with 31 assists for a total of 88 points. He also served 64 penalty minutes.

Teskey joins his Jr. Canadien’s teammate Spencer Martin as the second Majors first round draft pick to sign in as many weeks.
