Pikes Peak 16U's Nash Worden to play in NAHL

Press Release

The Pikes Peak Miners, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (PHL), are pleased to announce that 1995 defenseman, Nash Worden, has signed with the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the North American Hockey League. Nash played the 2009/2010 season with the Miners Bantam AAA team, and skated last year with the Miners 16U AAA team that won their second consecutive North American Prospects Hockey League championship.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for Nash," states Miners 16UAAA coach, Lucas Trombetta. "Nash is still young, but he's a player who has paid his dues with State, District, and National Camps, USHL and NAHL main camps, and 2 tremendous seasons of AAA hockey with the Miners organization. He is a big, strong defenseman with a ton of offensive potential. He's tough, and he's the type of player who can play the game any way he has to in order to get the job done on the ice. Nash's maturity, both on and off the ice, is well beyond the majority of players in his age group, and I'm certain that the experience with coach Baxter in Wichita Falls will help him realize his dreams of playing division 1 college hockey."

"Nash has been a model citizen and a true student of the game in his time with the Miners organization, and we couldn't be happier for he and his family for taking the next step in his hockey career and signing with the Wildcats.
