Sioux Lookout signs three players

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – The Sioux Lookout Flyers have announced the signing of three players, which includes one returnee and a pair of newcomers, for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

Back for a second season in the white, black and orange is Brett Wur while joining the club are forwards Max Strasser and Bryan Borders.

Wur, 19, saw action in 40 games for Sioux Lookout this past season picking up 13 points on six goals and seven assists. Three of the markers for the St. Andrews, Man., native came via the power play.

Both Strasser and Borders skated in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League last season with the Edina Lakers and Twin Cities Northern Lights respectively.

Strasser, who hails from Beaver Dam, Wis., fired 14 goals and added two assists in 34 contests while Borders had 24 points in 17 games. He is from Eagan, Minn.

The Flyers commence training camp Aug. 26 in Sioux Lookout.
