Training Camp Begins in Two Weeks!

The Owen Sound Attack has released their training camp schedule for 2011. Training camp will kick off with Rookies/Prospects reporting on August 29th, while veterans and players that have advanced from rookie camp will hit the ice on Wednesday, August 31st.

The Attack is expected to have sixteen players from their 2011 Championship squad return for training camp, along with newly acquired European players Artur Gavrus and Michael Schumacher. The battle for the backup position behind Number one goaltender Jordan Binnington will be a heated race as 2011 Draft Pick Evan Morse and 2009 Draft Pick JP Cesario will battle it out.

Andrew Shaw’s signing with the Rockford Ice Hogs means that there is a potential overage spot open with the Attack. Forward Michael Halmo and defenseman Jay Gilbert are both expected to be back.
